This property presents a mixed picture with significant issues regarding cleanliness, guest service, and amenities. The management is frequently accused of poor customer service, inexperienced staff, and unresponsive handling of guest concerns like maintenance or issues with pet policy.
We drove three hours to stay at an advertised pet friendly hotel. We get there and apparently they only accept dogs. No remorse, no refund, we were told we need to call the corporate number to get a refund. We went right across the street to the Hampton. Much nicer service and facility.
Easy on and off. Rooms were clean and not too badly aging. Room was clean with a reasonably comfy bed. The staff were really nice both at my late check in and my post breakfast checkout. Did I mention the room was clean. I've stayed in lots of places so clean matters. Only thing wrong was the fridge didn't work... But I wasn't there long enough to matter.
I can’t believe the weekend we had. There is rarely anyone at the front desk, and customer service is awful. When we tried to check in, no one was there. We stood around waiting until someone who came in early for her shift helped us. We weren’t the only ones left standing there, and that set the tone for the entire stay. We paid for a deluxe two-queen room but got stuck with a regular queen. No refund, no credit, no apology. The rooms are filthy and stained. Do not even think about walking barefoot. The shower was under construction, the bedding had yellow stains, and the beds felt like rocks. This place is neither comfortable nor affordable. On top of that, the walls clicked all night, making it impossible to sleep. It was the opposite of relaxing. We couldn’t even leave because I would have lost the money I had already paid for the room. The only good thing about this hotel is the location near downtown, but you are better off picking another hotel across the way. Do not waste your money here.
Ok hotel. Looks older, especially the elevator. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable with no stained linens. The tv was so small. The refrigerator stayed somewhat cool and had no freezer. The water pressure in shower was low. Like it was on a restrictor. The pool looked really gross and there was NO way I was going in there. Breakfast was just scrambled eggs and carbs. Disappointed. Comparable to other area hotels, this one is better for the money.
We stayed the week after Labor Day. When I checked in the lady at the front desk had us in a room on the 2nd floor...I asked to be moved to the 1st floor as my husband cannot walk long distances. No problem. When we walked into the room it was dark and dingy and had an odor of musty. I bought a can of air freshener. The bathroom shower leaked with each shower so much that we had to throw our towels on the floor to sop it up for fear of slipping and falling. Beds were not comfortable at all! The icing on the cake was when we got home and found 2 cockroaches in our dirty laundry bag and suitcase. DO NOT recommend this filthy place. The only plus was the lady that handled the breakfast area, the front desk AND the laundry was very nice and friendly. I do NOT recommend staying at this place unless you like bringing visitors home with you.
