The Victoria Resort B&B offers a charming and personalized experience with attentive staff and beautifully themed rooms. Guests consistently praise the delicious, freshly prepared breakfasts and the property's numerous amenities, including a pool, sauna, and pickleball court. While some reviewers noted issues with older cottage infrastructure, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the warm hospitality and convenient location.
I had a wonderful experience here! Elizabeth continually checked in with me in the days leading up to my stay to ensure I had every question answered and ideas on local events/businesses to try that aligned with my desire to relax and have quiet time with God. Taylor and Thalia were my trip MVPs. They prepared breakfast for me each morning and they made adjustments to the already delicious menu through observations. I didn’t complain but their attentiveness resulted in my meal satisfaction increasing each day. This is my first bed and breakfast experience, so I’m not sure if this is standard, but I felt genuine care and respect in each meal :) I loved this time of peace and solitude and I will definitely return.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful and quiet weekend away. It was our first getaway since our now 2 year old joined our family and before our second joins in the next month. It was the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and take the day as it comes.
Where to even begin?! Hospitality, A++ from both the owner, staff and innkeeper. They made our stay and booking a breeze, and were extremely accommodating! The facility offers tons of amenities including a pool, hot sauna and pickleball court and they are more than willing to give advice and knowledge about the community, restaurants and things to do! The owner is extremely passionate about her business and journey (as she should be) and we had the privilege of sharing the last bit of our breakfast talking with her and exchanging thoughts and ideas! The location itself has the most amazing vintage charm and feel; our bedroom and bathroom were clean and cozy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and fresh ? The dining area was quaint and very clean. I love that the bed and breakfast follows themes (Valentine’s day was great) and cares about local events and happenings. Their website has ease of access, and I love the option they have in each room to buy the local wine bottle, two glasses and a souvenir cork! Victoria Resort B&B is definitely going on our list of all time favorite places to stay in Michigan! ?
We loved our stay here! We can for a 3 night stay during Ice Breakers Festival weekend. Our room was spacious, had a comfortable bed, nice fireplace, and jet tub. We used the dry sauna twice and enjoyed it. The breakfasts were amazing! Elizabeth is an excellent cook. The entire staff was kind and friendly. We are excited for all the retreats/special events they have planned and will definitely be back for another stay!
Went here on a winter date night getaway. Great communication beforehand on check in instructions made check in an absolute breeze. Rooms were very clean, cosy and comfortable. Breakfast was cute, personal and delicious. HIGHLY recommend this place!
Absolutely the best romantic place I've been to yet! They serve you breakfast in the morning and its all handmade and cooked to perfection ?? everything was extremely clean and smelled AMAZING!! beds are soft and comfy tubs were extremely clean and everything was well maintained! Soft pillows and sheets too? my second time here and will definitely be coming back for many years to come! God Bless You All. Thank you for the amazing weekend and service. Also Elizabeth is the SWEETEST HUMAN ON EARTH??
Wife and I spent our honeymoon here and it was awesome. Our room was great, the whirlpool tub was clean, the breakfasts were awesome and the location was perfect. We are already planning on coming back for our anniversary.
We stayed in Cottage D. It was disgustingly dirty and smelled moldy and musty. The place was literally falling apart. The stairs to the front door were falling apart and the little back deck had completed rotted wood and holes where the rotted wood had fallen away. Nothing in the kitchen matched. There were only two wine glasses and none of the silverware matched (how hard is it to get four matching forks?). The stove was filthy and had burn marks all over the top. We didn’t use it because it was right next to a wall (literally inches away) and did not have a fan. There were two LOUD window air conditioning units. It was always too cold or two hot in there. The big bedroom had an unsafe step-up and subpar linens. The second bedroom only had a twin bed and it was really uncomfortable (linens were awful). They obviously spent $1000s of dollars on new pickleball courts. Why didn’t they take some of that money and update the cottages? $1000 would completely transform the place. Anyway… the location was perfect and South Haven is great (that’s why I gave it 2 stars). Oh and the Cottages are expensive! And they don’t include breakfast with your stay. The cost for what you get is ridiculous.
