My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Victoria Resort. The staff was very friendly and organized, the breakfast was very good, and the location was so convenient to DT + a small public beach. They have some bikes you can borrow to pedal the two blocks to the public beach which was nice. The WiFi was spotty from room 203 during our stay so not sure you can reliably work from the room or download/stream tv. Great place to stay if you plan to spend most of your time out and about and you don’t want to worry about breakfast.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Victoria. The check in was seamless and easy, the area is quaint and quiet but only a 5 minute walk to beach access and a 20 minute walk to the downtown area. We walked to get iced coffee every morning and then came back for our designated breakfast time. We stayed two nights but both mornings the breakfast was fresh and good! We stayed in room 103 and it was a lot more spacious than we anticipated and exceeded our expectations! The only thing we suggest is more toiletries kept under the bathroom sink. Other than that we dont have a single complaint and cant wait to come back and suggest it to others! Thank you for a great experience Victoria!

Wish I could write 2 separate reviews but will separate here. Also had to meet in middle between both reviews for overall score. Hopefully we can stay again in the future to give a better review and truly experience the establishments offerings as we left feeling indifferent. First I'll start with this, we booked through Expedia marking 2 adults and 2 children (our 3rd is a baby & we travel with pack and play so additional bed has never been required). Expedia placed us in the Bed & Breakfast with a king bed. Perfect! Upon arrival we were advised we could not stay as we had kids. We drove over three hours to get here and everything was sold out due to Independence Day weekend so we had no place to go. The part owner stated they would loose their license if they allowed us to stay. We luckily could make arrangements for our older 2 but not the baby. The part owner also stated the policy was clear on their website and with Michigan's Bed & Breakfast Association. I did some research after we checked out and both these statements were found as false. Their website is not clear on the child policy for the bed and breakfast or any of their facilities policies (only states the B&B rooms can accommodate up to 2 adults. Does not state no kids) which is why I'm sure Expedia didn't flag our booking with kids. I also did not find anything on LARA or on Michigan's Bed & Breakfast Association policies that children are not permitted per the regulations, policies, memberships or licenses. So not sure where the statements she made came from but the only thing I can imagine is that this is a location policy which should be very clear on their website and they do have rights to make those policies as any B&B does, per the federal civil rights act and state of MI. It's just not law for a B&B license. Anyways we were able to work things out and accommodations were made including a change of rooms to a cabin on the 2nd night. Which we really appreciate given our circumstances. Would have loved to be able to rate the food and Bed/Breakfast experience but the situation gave a bad taste and we also promised we would not attend given the flex for the baby being able to stay 1 night. So overall, as the full B&B experience could not be rated, I would give 1 star with chance to greatly improve with a 2nd visit without our kids. Note the B&B room was nice. A little dated but nice. The review for the Cabin would be a 4 star. It was roomy, had full kitchen, living room, bathroom and enough beds for everyone. Would love to stay here again with my family. The only reason I didn't give full 5 stars is because overall we still did not feel like the resort was family friendly. This is weird because they have all the accommodations for a family environment (pool, bonfire pits, swing set, yard games, etc.) We just didn't feel the resort overall catered to families but was more focused on the B&B. Now again, this is new owners, the location is perfect, all accommodations are there for families or just B&B experience. Would love to provide future review now we know this resorts specific policies and rules but with the feeling we had when we left I can not rate more than 3 star overall. Thank you again for the accommodations and for working with us in our unexpected circumstances due to booking through Expedia.

5 stars all the way!!! This place is beautiful, peaceful, and close to the beach. I stayed in the King Deluxe room. It was very clean. I enjoyed the whirlpool tub after a long day of walking around downtown. The breakfasts were delicious! There was a different menu each morning. All the staff I met were very friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making my visit special. I also loved the resort amenities and the quiet atmosphere that made it easy to recharge.

I had a wonderful experience here! Elizabeth continually checked in with me in the days leading up to my stay to ensure I had every question answered and ideas on local events/businesses to try that aligned with my desire to relax and have quiet time with God. Taylor and Thalia were my trip MVPs. They prepared breakfast for me each morning and they made adjustments to the already delicious menu through observations. I didn’t complain but their attentiveness resulted in my meal satisfaction increasing each day. This is my first bed and breakfast experience, so I’m not sure if this is standard, but I felt genuine care and respect in each meal :) I loved this time of peace and solitude and I will definitely return.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful and quiet weekend away. It was our first getaway since our now 2 year old joined our family and before our second joins in the next month. It was the perfect spot to unwind, recharge, and take the day as it comes.

Where to even begin?! Hospitality, A++ from both the owner, staff and innkeeper. They made our stay and booking a breeze, and were extremely accommodating! The facility offers tons of amenities including a pool, hot sauna and pickleball court and they are more than willing to give advice and knowledge about the community, restaurants and things to do! The owner is extremely passionate about her business and journey (as she should be) and we had the privilege of sharing the last bit of our breakfast talking with her and exchanging thoughts and ideas! The location itself has the most amazing vintage charm and feel; our bedroom and bathroom were clean and cozy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and fresh ? The dining area was quaint and very clean. I love that the bed and breakfast follows themes (Valentine’s day was great) and cares about local events and happenings. Their website has ease of access, and I love the option they have in each room to buy the local wine bottle, two glasses and a souvenir cork! Victoria Resort B&B is definitely going on our list of all time favorite places to stay in Michigan! ?

We loved our stay here! We can for a 3 night stay during Ice Breakers Festival weekend. Our room was spacious, had a comfortable bed, nice fireplace, and jet tub. We used the dry sauna twice and enjoyed it. The breakfasts were amazing! Elizabeth is an excellent cook. The entire staff was kind and friendly. We are excited for all the retreats/special events they have planned and will definitely be back for another stay!
