The Baymont Inn & Suites in Paw Paw receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its cleanliness, friendly service, and convenient amenities like a good breakfast and easy access to the room. However, recent experiences have highlighted issues with responsiveness from staff regarding towel requests and concerns about bed comfort and cleanliness, alongside a frustrating cancellation experience.
Im picky with hotels even bringing my own blankets. To my surprise this hotel exceeded my expectations. I didn't even have to use the blankets I brought from home. Customer service was A+ . I forgot my sandals and they called me to notify me too. I would just suggest they make more food (eggs and sausage) or get to breakfast early. Highly recommend!
This is a nice clean lower end motel. 3 floors w/ elevator. Cereal, waffles, sausage and the best motel breakfast scambled eggs I have had. Bed was great and everything g was clean.
I really appreciate the lovely foyer that leads to their breakfast area. They have one of the nicest jacuzzi king suites and I hope to be back soon
There was dead stink bugs in the window sill. The bed was incredibly hard and caused back problems for us both. The pillows were half the size of the pillow cases and did not form toys for comfortability. It says no pets allowed however we heard a dog barking the entire weekend and there was dog pool on the driveway in front of the lobby door. The worst part was calling down for towels and being told that housekeeping wasn’t there so we couldn’t have anymore except the two that came in the room (which were used the day before by us). We walked down to the front desk asked for some and the lady was offended and repeated again her housekeeping isn’t in (we can see the basket of clean towels in front of the dryer behind her) and wanted to know how many people were in the room and what room were we in. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days and was allowed only 2 towels.
I've had the opportunity to stay at this hotel several times now and because of the on-going health issues of a loved one I will probably stay several more times. This hotel exceeds my expectations of similar hotels in cleanliness, service, and value. The family who run this hotel are a delight.
We have stayed at this property on multiple trips. It was average but it met our needs. Our recent experience has us looking elsewhere for future trips. Using Booking.com we had a reservation for 10/25/2025. We were informed of a family illness on 10/24/2025 which required that we cancel our stay. We contacted both Booking and the property to request a cancellation. We missed the free cancellation period by one day but due to an unforeseen illness we were still hoping that there might be some flexibility of an accommodation or partial refund (we paid for the room at the time of our booking). Not so. Very disappointed. Both parties pointed to the other for a resolution and the end result was that we were charged the full reservation price of $162.39 We will have many future trips to see family in the area. We will NOT be staying at this Baymont Inn.
Christie graciously checked us in, (after a last minute booking through Wyndham Rewards), late last night as we arrived exhausted. We saw her friendly face again this morning giving us a nice hot breakfast. She was very friendly and accommodating. This Wyndham Baymont in little Paw Paw, MI is a gem and the highlight of our stays on our 2 wk trip. It is the only one that did NOT smell musty and it is the only one that had an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The room was large and clean. They had tile from the entry way and from the bathroom to the living area making it easier to get the “Wheeley” in and out as well as less carpet in high traffic areas for easier cleaning. Another nice touch was the magnetic door stopper high on the wall of the door allowing to move luggage in and out of the room with ease. The bathroom, besides having an exhaust fan, had many nice features including a large well lighted mirror, a long useable counter top, 2 rolls of TP easily accessible, a large tub and shower, and again very clean.
Entryway is clean and nice looking. All Counter staff were nice, efficient, and friendly. Pool was warm. There was no one in the breakfast area. I think the person checking people in also ran the breakfast room. HANDICAP BATHROOM: Large space to enter bathroom, sink was too high. Bathtub was low but still couldn't use the shower without family assistance. One handrail.
