I've traveled all over the world, and this was easily among the top 3 best hotel/b&b experiences of my life. My wife and I were very impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the manor and our room. The manor itself was gorgeous - distinctly American and beautifully maintained. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. The breakfast was delicious and made with care. The location was perfect - we were across the street from a beach access point, and super close to other beach spots. It was a 2 minute drive to the downtown area of South Haven. I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in South Haven. We will be coming again.

I spent the night here on a cozy solo weekend. The owner graciously opened up her home to me although it is normally closed at this time in the off season. Victoria greeted me upon arrival and upgraded my room since I was the only one there. The rest of the time I stayed here it felt like I had the whole place to myself. I could’ve spent days exploring every corner full of antique trinkets and furniture. There were also hundreds of books of every genre throughout the home and I would’ve loved to stay longer to read more by the fireplace. The location was great because it was situated just a couple minutes driving to downtown. It would easily be walkable weather permitting. It is also next to the beach and a maritime museum, so I’ll have to come back once the snow has melted away. There is a Keurig coffee machine that you can help yourself to. Victoria also laid out fruit and muffins for me since she was recovering from an injury and was unable to prepare anything. I was perfectly happy with this because there are places in town to get food or coffee. Overall, I’m still dreaming of this charming historical home and would love to come back and explore with my family. I would be happy to see South Haven when even more cute shops are open. ?????????? 5/5 — Loved Our Stay at Yelton Manor! We absolutely loved our time at Yelton Manor! The food was incredible. Breakfast was homemade, fresh, and full of flavor every single morning. The host was kind and delivered hot breakfast right to you! The rooms were super clean, cozy, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches everywhere. The beds were amazing so comfy that it was hard to get up in the morning! The location couldn’t be better close to the beach, restaurants, and shops, but still quiet and relaxing. Perfect for a peaceful getaway. The coffee and brownies were a sweet touch! We also met a few other guests and had such nice conversations about life, it’s that kind of place where everyone feels welcome to be friends and have a meal together if you wish. If you’re looking for a relaxing, comfortable spot with great food and even better people, Yelton Manor is the place. Can’t wait to come back!

A charming B&B. Super short walk to Lake Michigan. Spacious, clean room. Creatively set up with tons of books and reading and sitting nooks all over. Excellent breakfast. Great service. Fabulous location. Parking can get tight on busy days as noted on their site.

Lovely rooms - very nicely decorated with large comfortable bed. The house is full of lovely nooks and crannies stuffed full of books! Very close to a lovely beach and walkable to all the lovely restaurants and harbour walk. Breakfast was fine. The housekeeper/owner? seemed overworked or understaffed. Breakfast table was not cleaned and had sticky syrup on it. But overall I would go back and recommend this to others.

I had an excellent experience here and would highly recommend it to anyone in South Haven or visiting the area. The service was outstanding from the moment I walked in and the staff made me feel welcome and taken care of. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and served hot. Every detail showed real pride in what they do. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing with friends or family. If you are looking for a great spot in South Haven that combines quality, service, and value, this is it. I will definitely be coming back and telling others about it.
