I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my experience at Holiday Inn South Haven on Friday September 4th, specifically concerning your refusal to provide a military discount. While I understand that offering a military discount is ultimately a business decision, I find the complete lack of recognition for military service deeply disappointing and, frankly, disrespectful. Those who serve - and those who have served- made significant sacrifices on behalf of this country. A military discount is a simple way for a business to acknowledge and show appreciation for those sacrifices. This is not about expecting special treatment or feeling entitled to a discount. It is about respect and recognition. When a business has an opportunity to demonstrate appreciation for military members and veterans but chose not to, that sends a message about how much their service is valued. Rooms are very comfortable and the location is perfect but the front desk employees shouldn't represent IHG! Booking through a third party could definitely save you money because this location is pricey. I booked and saved myself money. During my original stay, I needed an extra night, so I booked the night through a third party. I spoke with the front desk about being able to occupy the same room for the additional night and was told I could. Now during checkout, I seen the same young female employee, and turned in my key. I left the desk and sat by the computer. This employee approached me and accused me of having a $600 bill!!! A little embarrassing and definitely unprofessional. This employee takes charge of the front desk with no clue of the surrounding area and IHG system management. I was told to email the actual manager screenshots of my paid completed booking. She told me to stay until the manager arrived so I canceled my UBER. Now the elder female manager comes in, speaks to her, they never called me over or approached me. The manager said she had no idea I was told to stay and had no clue of the email I was told too send her. I ASKED FOR A CLEARED IHG PORTFOLIO AS PROOF THAT THE BILL WAS TAKEN OFF MY ACCOUNT. THE ELDERY MANAGER SAID SHE COULDN'T GIVE THAT TO ME. If this is the way they're conducting business for IHG then try booking through AIRBNB or look at the surroundings hotels.

This hotel was exceptionally clean, and the staff was incredibly friendly with outstanding customer service. They were always happy to provide anything we needed—towels, sheets, blankets, and more—without hesitation. The spacious lobby was a great place to eat with family, play games, or get some work done. There were plenty of seating areas and convenient charging stations throughout. We've stayed at many hotels in SH, and this one has definitely set the bar. We will only stay here from now on. Highly recommend!

This hotel was very comfortable and clean for our 4 day stay with kids. The rooms and beds were both very nice. The pool was warm and shallow making it better for young kids. The location felt safe and we really enjoyed that it was very close to mostly everything we wanted to see in South Haven. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The only negative feedback I can provide is that service connection is slow and lagging, making it difficult to work there on business. There was also a very limited amount of channels on the tv. On night one, the front desk staff called us at 10:00 PM with young kids already in bed for paperwork that I already informed them I would get to them the following day. My only other complaint is that the breakfast attendants could not provide allergen information for my peanut allergic child. Allergen labels should always be readily available to any one serving food and we’ve yet to experience that being unavailable at another hotel. I do appreciate their willingness to check. Everybody was very kind.

Good location, near the highway and not far from downtown. Nice accommodations and pleasant staff. Pool lacks but great to have available option, seemed most suitable for the kiddos.

The room was cozy. Bed was comfortable. We did not use the pool but it looks a little small but I’m sure if you have kids they would enjoy it. Breakfast was ok. First morning everything was a little overcooked. I was expecting more bagels but they don’t have any out. The cinnamon rolls are always good. Good location, friendly staff.

Great stay. Clean is an understatement. Hallways and rooms smelled amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am a Ihg member so ive stayed in other holiday inns. This one has been by far the best. Even non ihg members were treated amazingly. We will be back.

Lady working tonight 2/25 was cold and short. Avoided eye contact. Made me feel uncomfortable. Just rude and not hospitable. Makes me not want to come back. Worked all day and felt like I was coming home to a miserable woman that I had no choice but to deal with and be nice to so I could get some rest

Room was clean. Front desk service was pleasant. We stayed NYE and the pool was closed the next morning for maintenance. It was myself and 3 children. This was a really poor choice of day and time due to the number of families staying for the holiday. Why would you close a pool on a holiday? One family had an accident at the pool and asked me if I had any bandaids. The front desk did not have any. I opened the first aid kit in the pool and there were two empty boxes sitting in it- and you guessed it, no bandaids. We came down for breakfast at 9am (ended at 9:30am) and the majority of the food was gone. Nothing was refilled the entire time we were there and people ended up just leaving when there was no food left. We stay at hotels across the country quite frequently and have never had this happen before. We left hungry.

This is a fairly decent property for this level of hotel. Here during holidays so it is very quiet with very few lodgers. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean and quiet. Breakfast is the usual complimentary hotel breakfast, coffee is available 24/7. We did not take advantage of the pool, nor did we use the fitness center (treadmill, free weights, stationary bike, elliptical). Surprisingly we returned after our first day out and about to fresh towels. They didn't make the bed - which was fine with us.
