I came to South Haven with some of my friends for a couple of days and we stayed here. We had a blast! The girls that work the front desk are AMAZING! They are personal and very accomodating. And how often do you see a maiantenance man interact with customers? This one did! He had us cracking up from the moment we walked in! The manager, who I guess is fairly new but you would never know, is equally amazing! She was always so happy and she handled every guest we seen her interact with like actual humans. That is such a positive impact. The employees said they love her and they love working there which tells you what kind of manager she is. I wish I lived closer so I could here lol. This place has vibes you don't see anymore! Plus our beds were so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! Everyone was always working and staying busy keeping the place clean and food coming out. We will definitely be staying here again next summer!

I love this place! It continues to be a solid choice for me. The property is clean, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment I walk in. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere feels relaxed and well?kept. The check?in smooth, the rooms are comfortable, and the location is convenient for beach trips and exploring the area. The complimentary breakfast and indoor pool are great bonuses that make the stay even better. Overall, it’s a dependable, enjoyable place to stay and easy to recommend.

????? What started as a spur-of-the-moment mother-daughter getaway turned into one of our favorite little trips, and Country Inn & Suites made it even more special! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. Rob made us feel welcome right away and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His hospitality truly set the tone for our entire stay. The next morning, Jessica was just as wonderful. She greeted everyone with a smile, kept the complimentary breakfast fresh and well-stocked, and created such a welcoming atmosphere. It's clear she takes pride in making guests feel cared for. Our room was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing weekend. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely happy to help. In a world where exceptional customer service is becoming harder to find, Rob, Jessica, and the entire team reminded us what true hospitality looks like. Thank you for making our stay so memorable! We will absolutely be back the next time we're in South Haven and will gladly recommend Country Inn & Suites to our family and friends.

Met the new Manager, Kristie is very Nice, Professional and seems like a great addition! Competitive rates on a very busy weekend! Front desk staff was great, answered questions we had about the area and places to go! Room was clean, plenty of towels both in the bathroom and with the jacuzzi!! Wonderful stay and look forward to future bookings!!

Stayed here for a wedding weekend and it did the job. The hotel is clean, well located, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Free breakfast was a nice touch after a long night of celebrating. Nothing fancy, but solid value for the area — would stay again for another event in South Haven.

I cannot say enough about the staff here. The hospitality was welcoming. Beds were comfortable and clean. Decent breakfast. While there are some upgrades and minor repairs needed- (paint, a few cracked tiles etc. no big deal) be patient and kind. Under new management (2 months) and they are repairing as they go. Outside grounds are well maintained. Go to them with any concerns, The staff is happy to assist any way they can. Located close enough to the beach. Not walking distance- I would stay here again simply for the pleasant and accommodating staff.

There were definitely some issues; rude evening employees, raw bacon for breakfast, was out of waffle mix before 8am, our bathroom door didn’t close. We had other family in other rooms where a tv didn’t work, no blinds in one of the rooms, some drains not draining. They do have fresh chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies they stock throughout the day. Available coffee is nice. Pool is ok standard rectangle pool. Kristy, the one in charge is absolutely amazing. She took note of our concerns gave us some credit and gave us all a sweet snack after checking out. She was awesome and is planning on making that a better place to stay!!

I recently stayed here and it was a fantastic experience. The new management has done a wonderful job, and it's clear they're really focused on hospitality. The rooms are cozy, the breakfast is great, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I'll definitely be returning! Just an edit. After reading the other post below, I can see why they are under new management. I can assure you there has been a lot of changes. I found housekeeping was very great. The pool area was nice. Management was very welcoming. And alway fresh coffee and cookies available.

So we thought we would get out for the weekend take the kids to the hotel let them swim, just have a small vacation... Unfortunately the kids did not get to go swimming the pool was absolutely disgusting when we arrived you can tell the water was dirty in the next morning when we went to breakfast the water was literally brown it was disgusting. There was probably six little little kids all running around playing in the water with their diapers falling apart and the baby puked on his mom in the water. It was just gross.. I said something to the front desk Saturday evening and she said that she would leave a note for the manager cuz there was nothing she could do about it and the next morning the guy said there was nothing he could do about it either.. so our weekend of swimming was a bust unfortunately and we will absolutely never go back to this hotel ever! I work in hotels for a living and that is just completely unacceptable.

***UPDATE to reply*** I was not offered ANY discounts and only a downgraded room. That was only after continuing communicationwith the front desk. I offered to clean the Jacuzzi after waiting over 4 hours for a person to come in and received no updates. After 8pm I decided to clean it myself after they failed to address it or provide any cleaning materi sprang for the Jacuzzi suite expecting to have an awesome time, boy I wish I had read the reviews. When we checked like every other hotel it was a ghost town at the front desk, as I walked around a clerk came out. We get checked in and go to my suite 315 and first red flag the door keys were not coded, the doors would not open and so I had to go back down to first floor and get them coded. I get back to the room and come in and superficially it was kind of cool, I went to the jacuzzi and find a giant clump of soap scum and used bar of soap. Disgusted I go to the front desk and make it known and the clerk said some one would be notified, as they had no other staff. As I am back at the room my despair begins to multiply as the remote held together with a rubber band does not change the channel and the tv didn't work. So i monkeyed with the tv got Comedy Central come on and that was it, remote would not change anything and control on the box and tv would not respond also. I start seeing how filthy this hotel really is, I went to get ice in the one machine on the second floor where there appears to be a build up of filth and kind of looks like the building is falling apart along with the broken vending machine and the filthy ice machine. So disappointing. I checked back with the front desk and they said someone was coming to clean the jacuzzi I told them we were going out for dinner and would be back and to enter the room to clean. We come back after an hour its 630p and nobody is there. I go to the front desk and tell them I can clean it but I want money back and would need cleaning material. She said she would check with their manager. I come back after another hour and she would did not get permission to give me cleaning material. The front desk finally offers to switch me to the other jacuzzi room w/o a bed couch so i declined and cleaned the jacuzzi with body soap. I also took my son to the pool and there were glops of hair floating on the surface and on the deck, such a nasty place. The door lock was so shaky it appeared to have been kicked in as it would shake in the wall. So on top of all this on one of my many trips to the front desk to try and get some sort of service, a unhoused person whom I saw earlier at the intersection with his carboard sign talking to themselves came in and sat their garbage bag next to me. The man shaking and jerking movements shows me a wad of cash stating he had money for a room but no ID, asked if he could rent a room with my ID. I of course look desperately for any sort of attendant and find no one. The homeless man then starts reaching over the counter and going through the room keys while talking to himself. I pointed to the camera finally and he says "you told on me" and put the room keys back, after 5 minutes the clerk appeared like a genie finally and again has no way to provide any help as they have no cleaners nor manager. So I left her with the homeless guy, sorry. So after reading that run on, now you see how unsafe this place is also. Later around midnight the clerk was talking to another employee and she told him about all the stuff that happened and he just glares at me while counting the cash in the register, very welcoming. Same thing happened when I go to get the cart in the morning and again nothing is said just another glare from the dude. So I emailed the manager, expecting something as it was the most expensive room(over 200), but was like sleeping in a tent next to the highway. Still no reply.. I also wonder how many generic apologies will they issue to these reviews before the try and change? I'm beyond mad so I guess I will take the pictures to Choice Hotels and Radisson and see maybe get some movement there.
