Reviews are mixed and heavily influenced by the seasonal timing of the stay, with summer visitors praising the cozy architecture and cuisine while winter guests cite poor value and unkept amenities.
I recently stayed at Daydreamers Domes and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing, especially during the winter season. This place is very misleading in the winter months. Many of the amenities that make “glamping” appealing were either unavailable or unusable. The pool was completely frozen, and the hot tub was only accessible to one specific dome, which was never clearly communicated when booking. If you’re expecting a full glamping resort experience, you will not get it here in the winter. The lobby bathroom was dirty and poorly maintained, which immediately made a bad first impression. On top of that, the receptionist had a terrible attitude and was not helpful when we asked questions about the amenities. Another major issue: there was no dinner service on Sunday, again something that wasn’t clearly communicated ahead of time. What makes this even more frustrating is that I’ve glamped in the middle of winter at other places and still had full access to amenities like heated pools, hot tubs, saunas, game rooms, fire pits, and grills. That’s what people expect when they book a glamping experience especially for the price. Overall, this felt like a complete rip-off for what was advertised. If you’re looking for a true glamping experience with working amenities, I would strongly recommend booking somewhere else. A zero star is a better rating!
My husband and I celebrated my birthday here and stayed in Dome #1, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. Check-in was seamless, and the aesthetic was everything. Whoever handled the décor truly mastered their craft. The soaking tub and rainfall shower? Absolutely top tier. The only minor hiccup was figuring out how to adjust the temperature in the dome, but once we got it right, it was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and tasted like real home cooking. Since it was winter, we didn’t get to enjoy all of the events and amenities, but we loved the unplugged atmosphere. It was exactly what we needed. Uninterrupted time to truly connect without the distractions of the outside world. We will definitely be back in the summer to experience more of the property and everything it has to offer.
I had an amazing stay. The owner was very accommodating, and the staff was very friendly. The experience of the dome itself was unique. A place where you can just go and be around nature, enjoy a great spa, or just to even unplug. I think the no T.V.'s were the best part. And the big opening in front of the bed was a great plus. Also they have these notebooks in the domes that everyone writes in to tell there experience which is a nice touch. This was a great idea. Great way to relieve some stress. Missy definitely understood the assignment.
We had the an amazing time at DayDreamer Domes. The dome was cozy and warm (we were there for Valentine's Day). It was really nice having a private bathroom versus having to walk to a public bathhouse. We took advantage of the Valentine's Day dinner at the clubhouse and it was incredible! Kami, the chef, has such a talent for presentation as well as delicious food. The culinary delights transferred over to breakfast in the morning. This was a fun getaway for the winter, but we look forward to returning in the summer to experience all the amenities.
Went on a girls trip this weekend and our stay was amazing! Even with the negative temperatures and feet of snow the inside of the dome was cozy and warm. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The sauna was the perfect remedy after walking around outside in cold downtown South Haven for hours. The staff here is very helpful and friendly. We can’t wait to go back in the summer with our husbands to enjoy the pool and other summer activities!
