Awesome time. Cabin was clean and spacious. Great central location for our Michigan family summer trip.

I would echo what recent reviews have said the location, grounds,pool and the beach are reason enough to return. The unit's need a refresh in some cases. We rented 7 or 8 unit's and some were great others not so great. The unit we were in was a hodgepodge of supplies no paper towels random utensils both showers had issues. Unfortunately it took 3 days for those to be resolved. Would I return yes but with such a beautiful location fixing up some of the unit's would make a huge difference.

Great location, pool was lovely, private beach is amazing, beautiful views of the lake. My main complaint is that the rooms did not feel clean upon arrival... found hair in my bed, sand on the floor, crumbs, trash under furniture, pots with burnt on mess still stuck to the sides, dishwasher needed cleaned out... it looked like the cleaning crew did the bare minimum. I felt that furniture through the home was pretty worn out - my mattress was a spring type that you could feel and hear creaking, not very comfortable. The home was also missing some important items, especially in the kitchen. We saw landscapers/caretakers working almost every day, keeping everything outside beautiful, but all of the rec equipment was destroyed... it just kind of felt like the "luxury" was in photographs only. The kids sessions they did on weekdays were pretty cool, great people involved there. 3 stars, decent choice if you have kids (and can snag a good deal), but the lack of cleanliness really irked me.

My family and I have been renting cottages from Sleepy Hollow for nearly 30 years, and I can say with certainty that this is one of the best kept secrets on Lake Michigan! Dale (Property Manager) and the staff at Sleepy Hollow is phenomenal and they constantly go above and beyond for their guests. If you're looking for the ultimate Lake Michigan getaway with exceptional amenities, this is by and far the best option around South Haven, Saugatuck, Holland, etc. They have a fantastic private beach, massive pool (very kid friendly), daily activities for children, basketball/tennis/pickle ball courts, a kids park, all of which is within short walking distance from any cottage on the property. Lastly, the location is super convenient...

I can't say enough great things about this place! From the moment we entered the property there were continuous smiles from my entire family. We stayed in one of the smaller cottages, 3A. It sits across from the park and pool, and it was just perfect! It had a nice porch with lounge chairs that we could sit on and watch our boys play at the park running around having fun with the other kids at the resort. They have a variety of bikes for adults and kids (including ones with training wheels), and because it's gated, our boys were able to ride their bikes safely around the adorable property. There were so many other fun things to do during our stay. The lake and beach were amazing. From the pool (lifeguards always available) to the tie dye shirts our boys made during one of the activities they do daily with other kids at the resort, to just the beauty and layout of the place, we couldn't have been happier with our trip and look forward to visiting again!! Property manager Dale and staff were great too! Very responsive and just want to do whatever they can to make your stay great. My family highly recommends! : )
