Guests overwhelmingly praise the unique railcar experience and convenient location, though most note the interior spaces and bathroom are small. Reviews consistently highlight responsive, friendly service.
A fun, unique way to spend a night. Expected the shower and bathroom to be small, and they were, but I mean, you’re staying in a caboose. Enjoyed it.
We loved staying in the caboose. Located within walking distance to all places. Keep in mind this is a caboose and the quarters are small. We will return to stay again!
This was the first vacation we took as a family post Covid with our 2 and 4 y/o's. They both love trains so when we were looking for a beach spot nearby in Michigan that was a tolerable drive, this popped up and we knew we had to try it out. Let me just say, I can't wait to come back. It was beyond perfect and exceed all of our expectations. Yes, it is a real old train car. So have that in mind when you're picturing it. It's not the Ritz but it is an amazing experience. One that I will remember forever. The service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly and responsive. I would 100% recommend Caboose 2 if you have kids who love trains and want a safe spot that you don't have to worry about being baby proofed, like a rental house but still want some privacy from other guests. There was plenty of space with all 3 outdoor seating options. We easily could have entertained another family if they were staying nearby. We can't wait to come back. Thank you all for making this a truly memorable trip.
Cute and quaint. We stayed at Caboose 2 and it had what we needed. Very unique experience, and loved the bonus private parking spot. Only thing that could use improvement is the bathroom. It is comparable to a dorm room bathroom out of the 80’s. That being said, it was very enjoyable and the bathroom is just a point of potential improvement. Will return!
It was great! We stayed in a caboose. There is exactly as much room as you would think, But not to worry, The town keeps you busy. Our concern going in was the "active liquor store" review. This was not the case at all for us. It was very quiet as a matter of fact. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again. You can't really compare staying in a caboose to any other hotel/inn. How many times have you been excited to tell your friends and family that you stayed at a Holiday Inn? Book the caboose and take home a story.
